Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and repairing building system operations across plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and cooling. The role supports preventive maintenance and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards for client facilities.

Ideal candidates have 4–5 years of relevant experience, strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to analyze multiple information sources.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, stairs/ladder climbing, lifting 50 lbs+)
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple information sources
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills for basic financial calculations

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control systems to keep facilities within standards
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize system performance
• Support preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and perform emergency repairs as needed
• Follow policies for safe storage, handling and disposal of hazardous materials
• Review building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure performance and environmental conditions meet client requirements
