Job summary

Egis Group in Brisbane is seeking a Facade Engineer to join our Facades and Sustainability team. You will deliver façade engineering solutions that meet client requirements within agreed timeframes and budgets on high-profile projects across South East QLD.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a similar role, with qualifications in structural/civil or architectural disciplines, and experience with curtain wall, glazing, cladding, REVIT, BIM and SpaceGass.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in a similar role, ideally in consultancy.
• Demonstrated experience in façade engineering, including curtain wall, glazing and cladding.
• Proficiency with relevant software and platforms such as REVIT, BIM, SpaceGass etc.

Responsibilities

• Deliver façade and structural engineering design services from concept to construction phase support.
• Support project planning and resource management for small to medium projects.
• Prepare tender documentation and design deliverables to meet client requirements.
• Coordinate engineering designs with internal Design/Design Engineering teams and maintain client relationships.

About the Role

Join us as a Façade Engineer in our Brisbane Facades and Sustainability team! You will be responsible for the delivery façade engineering solutions that meet client requirements within agreed project timeframes and budget. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, challenging projects across South East QLD.

You will also be responsible for:

• Deliver and façade and structural engineering design services, including concept development, detailed design, documentation, analysis, specifications and construction phase support
• Support project planning, management of resources for small projects or parts of larger projects
• Prepare tender documentation, design documentation/specifications and project deliverables to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity
• Produce or coordinate the production and revision of Engineering designs by liaising with internal Design / Design Engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationship by conducting all work in a professional and productive manner

What do we need from you

You will ideally have 2+ years demonstrated professional experience in a similar role, ideally within consultancy. In addition, you will also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering (Structural, civil) or architectural discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in façade engineering, structural engineering or related building engineering disciplines
• Demonstrated experience working on façade projects, including curtain wall, glazing, cladding and specialist systems
• Exposure and understanding of project management skills including achieving prescribed budget, timeframes and customer requirements for projects assigned
• Proficiency with relevant software and platforms such as REVIT, BIM, SpaceGass etc.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal
