Job summary

6am Recruitment is seeking strong fabrication or welding experience in a structural steel workshop for permanent roles. A huge pipeline of work means plenty of hours over 40 per week (usually 50–55 p/wk).

Applicants must be Citizens, have NZ Residency or a valid NZ work visa. This role is in a busy workshop environment, requiring quality workmanship and reliability to support the team and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Strong fabrication or welding experience in a structural steel workshop.
• Proficient with MIG and Arc welding.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
• Citizenship, NZ residency or valid NZ work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld structural steel components to spec.
• Maintain quality and on-time delivery in a high-volume workshop.
• Work safely and communicate with team to support production goals.
