Job summary

Reece is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Fitter at Newcastle to interpret technical drawings and deliver precise fabricated components for fire protection and industrial sectors. You will weld, cut, roll groove, thread, and assemble, ensuring high quality results and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires experience with welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools, plus a willingness to learn and grow within a leading Australian supplier of bathroom and building products.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification preferred.
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.
• Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment and manual tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment problems.
• Commitment to learning and professional development.
• Forklift licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating pipework & manifolds, welding, pipe cutting, roll grooving and threading to customer or inventory specifications.
• Visually inspecting welds and components to identify failures.
• Assisting, building and assembling high quality products.
• Maintaining welding and other specialised machinery for optimum ongoing performance.
• Contribution to customer satisfaction.
• All done within a safe, clean and secure working environment, compliant with industry standards.

About the role

At ReFire, the Boilermaker/Fabricator plays a vital role in delivering high‑quality, custom fabrication solutions that support our commitment to excellence and innovation. You'll be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and specifications to produce precise, reliable components that meet the unique needs of our clients across fire protection and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating pipework & manifolds, welding, pipe cutting, roll grooving and threading to customer or inventory specifications
• Vissually inspecting welds and components to identify failures
• Assisting, building and assembling high quality products
• Maintaining welding and other specialised machinery for optimum ongoing performance
