Job summary

Offline Campers, an Australian-owned manufacturer of premium off-road camper trailers, seeks a Fabrication Team Leader to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement while leading the fabrication team on the tools.

You will partner with the Production Manager to plan workflow, solve problems and maintain safety and 5S in a hands-on, collaborative leadership role across the fabrication area.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication, welding or metal manufacturing.
• Excellent TIG welding skills for Aluminium and Stainless Steel.
• Leadership or supervisory experience or a strong desire to step into a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of Lean values and continuous improvement.
• Hands-on leader who supports the team and maintains safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the fabrication team on a day-to-day basis.

• Ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Offline Campers is an Australian-owned manufacturer of premium off-road camper trailers. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Fabrication Team Leader to lead our fabrication team and help drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement across the business.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the tools, supporting their team and taking ownership of their work area.

About the role

As our Fabrication Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of the fabrication team while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with the Production Manager and other Team Leaders to manage workflow, solve problems and identify opportunities for improvement.

Key responsibilities

Lead and support the fabrication team on a day-to-day basis

Plan and coordinate workflow to meet production requirements

Remain hands‑on and assist with fabrication when required

Ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard

Monitor quality throughout the fabrication process

Identify and resolve issues that may impact production

Support, train and develop team members

Maintain 5S standards and a clean, organised and efficient work area

Work with other departments to improve workflow across the factory

Participate in and drive Lean and continuous improvement activities

Identify waste and implement practical improvements within the fabrication area

Communicate issues, progress and improvement opportunities with the Production Manager

What we're looking for

Previous experience in fabrication, welding or metal manufacturing

Excellent TIG welding skills of both Aluminium and Stainless Steel

Previous leadership or supervisory experience, or a strong desire to step into a leadership role

A strong understanding of Lean values and behaviours, with a focus on teamwork, respect, accountability and continuous improvement

Someone who takes ownership of their work, leads by example and encourages the same within their team

A proactive approach to identifying waste, solving problems and finding better ways of working

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams

A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and 5S

Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills

Ability to manage workflow and competing priorities

A hands‑on approach to leadership, with the willingness to work alongside the team and support them when required

Someone who is open to feedback, willing to learn and actively looks for opportunities to improve both themselves and the team
