Job summary

BI & DW Australia seeks two Senior Microsoft Fabric Data & Analytics Consultants to work with premier enterprise clients in Sydney or Melbourne. Candidates will apply Fabric development expertise across Synapse, OneLake, Data Factory and Power BI, contributing to growing the Microsoft Practice.

The role targets data engineers with 2-3 Fabric projects and strong Azure data technology knowledge, including on-prem SSIS/SSAS/SSRS and Power BI, in a demanding professional services setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric data & analytics development.
• 2-3 Fabric projects completed.
• Knowledge of Azure Fabric, Azure Data Services and Microsoft data cloud stack.
• Power BI experience.
• Databricks and Azure Data Factory experience advantageous.
• Synapse Analytics experience advantageous.
• DBT, Snowflake, AWS, GCP experience valuable.
• Previous professional services exposure with data consultancies.
• On prem SSIS/SSAS/SSRS and Power BI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply Microsoft Azure Fabric Data & Analytics development expertise on high level projects.
• Work with large enterprise clients across multiple verticals.
• Contribute to growth of the Microsoft Practice in Sydney/Melbourne.
• Collaborate with team on delivery using Fabric Services, Synapse, OneLake, Data Factory and Power BI.

Senior Consultant - Microsoft Azure Fabric Data & Analytics

A leading Data & Analytics Professional Services consultancy is looking for two Microsoft Fabric Data & Analytics Consultants for their practice. The Fabric engineers must come from a data engineering background NOT just a Power BI visualisation background.

The role

This role is the epitome of the archetypal IT business consultant where you will apply your proven Microsoft Azure Fabric Data & Analytics development expertise within top ASX 500 style organisations. You will be working exclusively on high level projects within the Sydney market and will utilise the Microsoft Azure Fabric Services technologies, Synapse, OneLake, Data Factory and Power BI. You will become a key member of the team assisting with the growth of the Microsoft Practice.

The Skills Needed

The ideal candidate for this true technical consulting role will have some or all of the following experience:

• Microsoft Fabric experience ideally Certified
• 2-3 Fabric projects under your belt
• Microsoft Platform knowledge of Azure Fabric, Azure Data Services, the Microsoft Data cloud stack and on prem Microsoft BI technologies
• Power BI experience
• Databricks and Azure Data Factory experience is a huge advantage
• Synapse Analytics experience is a huge advantage
• DBT, Snowflake, AWS, GCP experience all valuable
• Ideally previous Professional services experience with niche Data consultancies
• Previous on prem SSIS, SSAS (tabular and modular) and SSRS, Power BI experience
• Documentation (business focused, technology focused and project focused)
