Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor for Julio's Italian Restaurant at Holiday Inn West Perth. You will lead the F&B team, uphold service standards, and deliver memorable dining experiences for guests in a vibrant Perth setting.

You will manage daily operations, support the Venue Manager, and foster a collaborative, guest-centric culture while ensuring RSA compliance and high-quality service across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in Food & Beverage, hospitality, restaurant or customer service environments.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise Food & Beverage team members across shifts.
• Lead team briefings and communicate daily priorities, promotions and specials.
• Motivate staff to deliver exceptional guest service and maintain a positive culture.
• Oversee restaurant operations in absence of Venue Manager.
• Greet guests and provide a warm, professional welcome.
• Provide wine and beverage pairing recommendations and serve drinks to a high standard.
• Ensure food and beverages are served professionally and efficiently.
• Monitor venue presentation, cleanliness and service quality.
• Complete end-of-day procedures including cash reconciliation and closing duties.
• Ensure RSA compliance and venue licensing requirements.

Your Day-to-Day

As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will work closely with our Venue Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations while leading and supporting the Food & Beverage team to deliver exceptional service standards.

You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining a positive team culture, and creating memorable guest experiences from arrival through to departure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and supervising Food & Beverage team members throughout each shift
• Leading team briefings and communicating daily priorities, promotions, and specials
• Supporting and motivating team members to deliver exceptional guest service
• Managing restaurant operations in the absence of the Venue Manager
• Greeting guests and ensuring a warm, professional welcome
• Providing food and beverage recommendations, including wine and beverage pairings
• Preparing and serving hot beverages, cocktails, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to a high standard
• Ensuring food and beverages are served professionally and efficiently
• Monitoring venue presentation, cleanliness, and service quality standards
• Completing end-of-day procedures, including cash reconciliation and closing duties
• Ensuring compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements and venue licensing legislation
• Assisting with training, coaching, and development of team members
• Building strong relationships with guests and colleagues through genuine hospitality

You will also be an ambassador for the Holiday Inn brand, creating an environment where both guests and team members feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an energetic and hands-on hospitality professional who leads by example, enjoys developing others, and understands the importance of delivering exceptional guest experiences.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage, hospitality, restaurant, or customer service environment
• Previous supervisory, team leader, or leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and service standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding guest service focus and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• A positive and collaborative leadership style
• A commitment to maintaining high standards in everything you do

You will also:

• Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
• Hold a current Approved Manager Certification
• Be available to work a rotating seven-day roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Have unrestricted Australian working rights
