Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking an energetic hospitality professional in Geelong to lead the F&B team and deliver premium service to guests. You will greet guests, take orders, prepare drinks, and present food to standards.

Role requires RSA certification, physical fitness, and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays. You will monitor alcohol service and support safety, while collaborating with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• RSA certification and beverage service training required.
• Physical fitness to stand and move throughout shift.
• Ability to lift and push heavy objects as needed.
• Compliance with local alcohol laws and safety standards.
• Clear, warm communication with guests.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience making a wide range of drinks is preferred.
• Good reading, writing and basic maths skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the F&B team to deliver premium service for our guests.
• Greet guests and take beverage and food orders promptly and professionally.
• Prepare drinks and food for service and present to standard.
• Monitor alcohol service and handle RSA breaches with management.
• Clear and clean tables; maintain cleanliness of station areas.
• Handle opening/closing duties and keep stations tidy all shift.
• Follow safety protocols; report incidents to management immediately.
• Resolve guest issues per guidelines and log follow-ups.
• Work as a team and coordinate with other departments for quality.
• Receive payments and process transactions per cash handling procedures.
• Ensure accurate banking and end-of-shift procedures.
• Assist with induction and on-the-job training for new staff.
• Coach staff and address breaches of hotel policies as needed.
