Job summary

InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto is seeking hospitality professionals to join our Food & Beverage team. You will work across restaurant, bar, in-room dining and events to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Join us to support polished service, maintain high grooming and presentation standards and participate in ongoing training within a luxury hotel environment. RSA certification and Australia work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Previous experience in food and beverage, restaurant, bar, or hospitality roles is highly regarded.
• A warm, friendly, and professional communication style.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• A good understanding of food and beverage service standards.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform physical duties when required.
• RSA certification in Victoria is required.
• Commitment to grooming, hygiene and presentation standards.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• You must meet the legal requirements to live and work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Welcome guests warmly, take food and beverage orders, and provide personalised recommendations.
• Create memorable dining experiences through attentive and professional service.
• Acknowledge IHG One Rewards members and returning guests to enhance their experience.
• Prepare restaurant and service areas before, during, and after service periods.
• Greet, seat, and assist guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with hotel service and timing standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of restaurant, bar, service stations, and back-of-house areas.
• Manage stock rotation, replenishment, and storage procedures following food safety standards.
• Assist with stocktakes and inventory control of food, beverage, equipment, and linen.
• Attend team briefings and training sessions and support colleagues as required.
• Report hazards, incidents, maintenance issues, and equipment faults per WH&S requirements.
• Promote a safe workplace by following food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
• Complete ad-hoc duties to support smooth operation of the hotel.
