Job summary

HorizonOne Recruitment is seeking an External Budget Officer on a permanent APS6 transfer in Canberra. You will manage a portfolio of budget estimates and contribute to policy costings for cabinet submissions and NPPs.

You will work with senior executives and Ministers’ offices, prepare estimates models, maintain data in CBMS and TM1, and help publish PBS/PAES. CA/CPA track and strong Excel are required.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualifications with CA/CPA track.
• Strong analytical ability and team collaboration.
• Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review estimates models to support the budget estimates.
• Maintain timely and accurate estimates data in CBMS and TM1.
• Assist with policy costings for Cabinet Submissions and NPPs.
• Provide advice to business areas and executives on the budget process.
• Contribute to Budget publications including PBS and PAES.
• Assist briefing of senior executives and Ministers on budget issues.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the DoF.
