The Opportunity

As an External Audit Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of audit engagements from planning through to completion, working closely with clients, partners and the wider audit team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing external audit engagements from planning through to completion
• Overseeing risk assessments, audit testing and technical audit matters
• Managing engagement timelines, budgets and overall delivery
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and developing strong stakeholder relationships
• Working closely with partners on complex matters and client delivery
• Reviewing audit working papers and ensuring a high standard of quality
• Leading, coaching and developing junior members of the team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• External audit experience gained within a mid-tier or boutique professional services firm
• Previous experience managing and taking a lead role on external audit engagements
• Strong technical audit knowledge and commercial awareness
• Experience managing client relationships and multiple engagements
• The ability to coach and support junior team members
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and CA/CPA qualification, or equivalent
