Job summary

Aveo is opening expressions of interest for Casual Personal Care Attendants in Donnybrook, WA. You will provide high-quality personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents within Aveo homes, with night-shift availability emphasized.

You’ll work independently in resident units, support wellbeing, and help residents maintain independence while following individualized care plans and Aveo policies.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care/Support Worker in community care is preferred.
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or related health support required.
• Strong communication and a friendly, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and daily living support.
• Assist with transport to appointments and activities.
• Maintain resident notes and basic administration.
• Follow Aveo OH&S policies.

The Opportunity

The Sanctuary Retirement Living offers a secure and welcoming community, conveniently located north of Brisbane. Residents enjoy a connected lifestyle with modern villas, vibrant social activities, and easy access to shops, transport and recreation facilities. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents within their Aveo home. Our Personal Care Attendants have a strong focus on wellbeing, promoting independence, building social connection and assisting with day-to-day tasks.

We are currently opening Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Casual Personal Care Attendants to join our team at The Sanctuary. Night-shift availability is essential.

Your Impact

• Work independently within resident units to provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry and more!
• Interact with residents within their homes or spend time out in the community completing daily activities (e driving them to appointments or light exercise)
• Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans
• Complete simple administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date
• Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents

What You'll Bring

• Experience as a Support Worker or a Home Care Worker, with a passion for community care, independence and wellbeing
• Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment
• Strong communication skills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)
• Valid driver's licence + vehicle (required)
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate and two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
