Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our Federal Government program, delivering verification and validation for complex, multi-domain security environments.

You'll synthesize requirements into test plans, develop and execute test cases, manage defects, and collaborate across teams. Australian citizenship and a TSPV/TSPA security clearance are required; the role is on site in Williamstown, SA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in verification and validation, systems testing, or quality assurance roles.
• Experience developing and maintaining test artefacts aligned to requirements and standards.

The Opportunity

We have exciting opportunities for an experienced Test Engineers to join a dynamic and fast paced team who support our Federal Government Program in across multiple mission systems operating within complex, multi-domain security environments.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Synthesize customer requirements into test solutions, balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Review and evaluate testability of requirements
• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures for various testing stages
• Analyze test results, manage defects, and prepare detailed test reports
• Collaborate with teams to solve problems and ensure successful outcomes

About You

• Qualification in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in verification and validation, systems testing, or quality assurance roles.
• Experience developing and maintaining test artefacts aligned to requirements and standards.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. ALM, Jira, Confluence or similar).
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and structured V&V practices.
• Experience testing enterprise ICT environments, with exposure to SOE, infrastructure, applications and test automation.
