Job summary

UGL Pty Limited on Curtis Island is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the GLNG Maintenance Team. Casual and permanent opportunities are available, with 7-on/7-off or Monday-Friday rosters and competitive rates.

You will perform preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on rotating and static equipment, ensuring safety and quality. The role is for locals with strong heavy industry experience, and FIFO is not required.

Qualifications

Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
Work Safely at Heights certification.
Atmospheric Testing certification.
High Risk Work Licence - WP (Boom-type EWP 11m+).
MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card).
C Class Driver's Licence.
Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience.
Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Chemical Processing or similar heavy industrial environments.
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Commitment to safe work practices and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
Maintain and overhaul pumps, compressors, blowers, valves and associated plant equipment.
Complete equipment inspections, fault finding and repairs.
Conduct flange management, alignment and lubrication activities.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed in accordance with site procedures and safety requirements.
Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation within the CMMS system.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance reliability outcomes.
Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance.

Join a Team That Keeps Critical Energy Infrastructure Running UGL is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our GLNG Maintenance Team supporting one of Australia's leading LNG facilities on Curtis Island. These are casual and permanent opportunities that are suited to locals offering ongoing work across a variety of maintenance scopes. Positions are available across a combination of 7 days on / 7 days off rosters and Monday to Friday rosters, with roster allocations dependent on operational and maintenance requirements. If you have a strong mechanical trade background, experience within heavy industry or oil and gas environments, and a commitment to safety and quality, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative and corrective maintenance activities across a range of rotating and static equipment within a complex LNG processing facility. Working as part of a high-performing maintenance team, you will contribute to the safe and reliable operation of critical plant equipment while ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards. Please note, this position is suited to locals and is not a FIFO opportunity.
