A leading engineering services company in Australia is seeking an Explosive Ordnance Engineering Consultant in Canberra. The role involves providing consultancy advice and technical solutions to clients, collaborating with various stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates should have an engineering degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a technical background with significant experience in defence. Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience with an engineering degree, or 8+ years demonstrable Defence experience.
• Understanding of defence organisational structure and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders from DOS, DST and GWEO manufacturing.
• Generate opportunities for collaboration through workshops.
• Review and develop engineering documentation.
• Answer technical questions from engineers.
• Provide mentoring and task planning for junior engineers.

Skills

Elevated professional knowledge of guided weapon systems and/or Explosive Ordnance

Experience in engineering artefact development and review activities

High knowledge of applicable weapon systems, equipment, or technology

Experience using ASDEFCON principles

Explosive ordnance, materiel management, technical management

Education

Engineering degree or technical/trade background
