Job summary

Regis Resources is looking for an experienced Exploration Geologist to join the Duketon operation on a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth. You will supervise drill rigs, interpret geological data, mentor field teams and help unlock exploration targets in the Duketon belt.

You will hold a Science degree (Geology), be familiar with ArcGIS or Micromine, possess strong communication, be autonomous, and hold a 4WD certification. This is a hands-on role with a competitive salary and incentives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science (Geology) completed.
• Knowledge of Archaean geology and Yilgarn gold deposits.
• Proficiency with GIS and geological modelling tools (ArcGIS, Micromine).
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
• 4WD certified (mandatory).
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain the drilling program with Project and Senior Exploration Geologists.
• Supervise drill rigs, logging, interpretation and ensure sampling quality.
• Oversee drilling activities to meet standards and maximise resource outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor contractors, consultants and field personnel.
• Provide timely daily/weekly reports to support decisions.
• Assist in design and optimisation of drilling programs and strategies.
• Generate new exploration targets through mapping and sampling.
• Maintain accurate geological records and data systems.
• Support leadership with operational reporting and strategic input.

Job Description

The opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced Exploration Geologist to join the team at our Duketon operation.

As an Exploration Geologist, you’ll play a pivotal role in uncovering opportunities and driving the success of our exploration programs. This is a hands‑on position where technical expertise meets innovation — from supervising drill rigs and interpreting geological data to mentoring field teams and generating fresh exploration targets. This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) fromPerth.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

• Drive exploration success: by coordinating and maintaining the drilling program in partnership with Project and Senior Exploration Geologists
• Lead from the field: with drill rig supervision, geological logging, and interpretation, while safeguarding sampling quality
• Ensure operational excellence: by overseeing drilling activities to meet industry standards, deliver cost efficiency, and maximise resource outcomes
• Foster strong team performance: by supervising & mentoring contractors, consultants, and field personnel, ensuring clear instruction and safe practices
• Deliver insights that matter through accurate, timely daily and weekly reporting that supports project decision‑making
• Shape the future of exploration: by assisting in the design and optimisation of drilling programs and strategies
• Generate new opportunities: through mapping and sampling programs that identify next‑generation exploration targets
• Safeguard data integrity: by maintaining accurate records and geological information systems critical to project success
• Support leadership: by contributing to operational reports and providing strategic input to the Senior Exploration Geologist

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

To be successful for this role, you will have:

• A degree in Science (Geology Major)
• Knowledge of Archaean geology, including Yilgarn gold deposits and conceptual models
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, Micromine, or other GIS and geological modelling package
• Well developed communication skills (oral and written)
• Work autonomously and within a team environment
• Meet deadlines and manage priorities to meet deadlines
• 4WD competency (certified) mandatory
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate
