Job summary

Kantra Copper, ASX:KAN, is expanding its exploration team at the Kanmantoo Coburn program in South Australia. The Exploration Field Technician will support drilling programs, sample collection and core processing, working with an experienced geology team in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Located at the Cockburn exploration site, accommodation is provided for FIFO from Adelaide with a short drive for locals.

Qualifications

• Current Driver's Licence and the ability to travel to remote exploration sites.
• Experience in exploration, mining, drilling, earthworks or similar field-based roles.
• Strong understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Proven ability to collect, manage and record field data accurately and efficiently.
• Physically fit and able to work in challenging outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support drilling and exploration programs through collection of geological data.
• Manage all aspects of sample handling, marking, splitting, orientation, numbering, dispatch and data entry.
• Conduct field-based geological, geochemical, geotechnical, geophysical and hydrogeological exploration activities.
• Complete on-site sample preparation, QA/QC, data integrity and record keeping.
• Assist geologists with exploration campaigns, logistics coordination and field program execution.
• Ensure safe movement of samples and equipment with hazard awareness in remote fields.
• Assist with contractor and field crew management to deliver exploration activities safely and on plan.
• Operate mobile plant and equipment and comply with site procedures and safety standards.
