Qualifications

Overview

An Expert’s primary role is to design and execute the implementation of solutions across a portfolio of our clients, as well as support solutions previously implemented. You will act as the technical face of the organization, establishing trust with our clients by helping them solve their business problems and improve their processes. Above all else, quality work and client satisfaction are our top priorities.

An Expert is expected to demonstrate the ability to not only handle projects to completion but to be the trusted advisor to the clients. They also possess the ability to articulate the company vision, describe solutions and the benefits of each to a current or prospective client.

The successful candidate will be able to transition rapidly between hands-on project delivery within individual projects in support of overall program goals and deliverables, and high-level relationship building and program strategy execution. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of project execution success implementing or utilizing business-oriented IT/Software solutions within the Energy industry.

Location: Brisbane or Perth, AU with potential for domestic & international travel

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of consultants across assigned engagements, directing work and ensuring quality and consistency of deliverables in support of overall program goals
• Work in a team together with the Project Manager to understand assigned project responsibilities and keep the project on schedule and budget by communicating progress and expectations and escalating issues for awareness and/or resolution
• Perform software implementations at leading energy companies
• Hands-on in delivery of projects in support of overall program goals and deliverables.
• Ensure that clients’ needs are fulfilled by providing professional high-quality service and assistance before, during and after customer's requirements are met
• Support clients through go-live process and play a key role in promoting solution adoption
• Frequently and proactively communicate project deliverables including managing expectations, presenting, and interfacing with stakeholders and sponsors
• Solve challenging technical support questions related to the solution suite
• Work effectively across internal departments (product development, solutions architects, quality assurance, sales, marketing)
• Provide solution training to clients and employees
• Mentor and develop junior team members (Consultants and Senior Consultants), providing guidance on technical delivery, client engagement, and professional growth
• Partner with Sales to support pre-sales activities including scoping, solution demonstrations, and proposal development for prospective clients
• Contribute to the ongoing development of Quorum’s delivery methodology, best practices, and internal knowledge base, helping to elevate the broader Services team’s capabilities
• And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• University Degree, preferably in a technical or business discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, etc.)
• Minimum 10 years consulting experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Energy Components
• Software implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, and support
• Experience leading a minimum of 5 full-cycle implementation projects, including at least 2 in a lead or senior delivery role
• Strong technical skills in Oracle database (PL/SQL) and Java
• Ability to think through details without losing sight of the big picture
• Experience with general consulting skills that include team facilitation, business case development and process mapping
• Analytical nature with the ability to solve complex business process challenges
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to build effective internal and customer relationships
• Ability to learn and master new technologies
• Detail oriented and customer focused
• Ability to develop trust with clients, including technical staff and management
• Software implementation background or experience working for a software company
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to travel domestically & international – up to 6 weeks a year
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or leading teams of consultants in a project delivery context

Preferred Skills

• Oil & Gas domain knowledge with midstream knowledge preferred
