Job summary

Plantability Constructions in North Rockhampton, QLD, is seeking an experienced Landscape Gardener to join our team. This full-time role offers a starting salary from $80,000 per year, plus superannuation, subject to industry experience.

You will undertake the full range of landscaping duties, operate landscaping machinery, and contribute to plans, material selection, and irrigation setup. You will work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III (with at least two years on-the-job training) or AQF Certificate IV.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a landscape gardener.
• Current manual driver's licence.
• Construction White Card.
• Ability to perform outdoor manual work and walk up to 5 km daily.
• Ability to work in conditions with public and traffic.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the full range of landscaping duties.
• Operate landscaping machinery.
• Keep accurate records, working independently as well as part of a team.
• Compliance with WHS Act, Regulations and Industry Codes of Practice, and Environmental Protection Act.
• Preparing plans and drawings, selecting materials and plants, and scheduling landscape construction.
• Setting out and installing hard-scape and soft-scape structures.
• Construct gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, trellises, barbecues, and garden furniture.
• Preparing seedbeds and growing sites for planting.
• Propagating and planting trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, and bulbs.
• Installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing garden irrigation systems.
