Job summary

Ourclient a well-established business located in Newcastle is seeking an experienced and reliable Storeperson/Forklift Operator to join their team. This is a hands-on warehouse role responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, handling and dispatch of goods while supporting smooth day-to-day warehouse operations.

This position would suit someone with strong warehouse experience, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse or storeperson role.
• Current Forklift Licence (LF).
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Ability to accurately receive, store and dispatch stock.
• Experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and accurately store incoming goods.
• Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders.
• Safely load and unload trucks.
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Conduct stock control activities and inventory checks.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Assist with maintaining warehouse organisation and cleanliness.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal departments regarding stock and warehouse matters.
• Complete warehouse documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
