You will work across surgery, reception and general nursing duties, with Saturday mornings and after-hours on-call rosters.
Our client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join their well-established mixed practice on a casual basis, with the potential for ongoing part‑time work.
This position is ideal for a qualified nurse who enjoys working across a diverse caseload and is looking to become part of a supportive, collaborative team. Shifts include Saturday mornings and participation in an after‑hours on‑call roster to assist veterinarians with small animal emergency procedures and surgeries.
Our client is an independently owned, long‑established mixed veterinary practice located in regional Victoria, approximately one hour from Melbourne.
The practice employs a team of around 30 staff, including 12 veterinarians and 18 veterinary nurses and support staff. They provide care for a wide range of species, including dogs, cats, native wildlife, birds, rabbits, ferrets, reptiles, horses, cattle, sheep, goats and alpacas.
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role encompassing surgery, reception and general nursing duties. There may also be opportunities to accompany veterinarians on farm and house visits, making experience with large animals or production animals highly regarded.
Standard nursing shifts operate between 7:30am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday morning shifts from 8:30am to 12:30pm. After‑hours work is rostered outside these times.
Due to the on‑call requirements, applicants must live within approximately 30 minutes of the practice and have reliable transport.
