Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group's Airport team in Sydney is hiring an Experienced Travel Consultant to help customers book flights, accommodation, cruises and more at Sydney Airport. You’ll join a team of travel enthusiasts and earn incentives as you turn travel dreams into reality.

The role emphasizes problem solving, fast decision making, and building lasting relationships with clients while working with multiple booking systems and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a travel consultant.
• Strong destination knowledge and travel product sense.
• Proficient with GDS and fast, accurate booking.
• KPI-driven and sales-target focused.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Apt at building itineraries, handling invoices and supplier calls.

How you’ll be opening up the world for our customers…

Flight Centre’s Airport team are the experts in problem solving, quick thinking and last-minute bookings. No two bookings are the same. You’ll be the expert for your customer’s every need, including flights, accommodation, cruises, tours, insurance and more! You will be working towards KPI’s and incentive targets, therefore building your customer relationships will be critical to your success in this role.

What it takes to be an Airport expert…

• You’re the go-to person in your circle for travel recommendations, tips and tricks, with ideally minimum of two years experience as a travel consultant
• You know your way around GDS and you’re focussed on speed and efficiency
• You seek out new ways to build on your success and think outside of the box for your customers to find the best travel solution for them
• You believe hard work should be rewarded, so you are focused on achieving your KPIs and sales targets to get the incentives you deserve
• You understand the importance of organisation and managing your time effectively to achieve the best result and stay on top of your work
• You’re not only good at the people stuff, but at the behind the scenes stuff too. Like building itineraries, doing up invoices, operating our complex booking systems, calling suppliers, and jumping between different programs with a customer in front of you
• You’re comfortable with complexity
