Oolite Electrical Pty Ltd in Sydney CBD NSW seeks an experienced Solar Roofer / Solar Panel Installer to join our growing team. You will install rooftop solar systems on residential properties across Sydney, focusing on quality workmanship and safety.

The role requires 2+ years in rooftop installations, experience on tile and metal roofs, and knowledge of mounting systems and waterproofing. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on rooftop solar installation experience.
• Experience installing residential rooftop solar systems on tile and metal roofs.
• Strong knowledge of mounting systems, roof penetrations and waterproofing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in teams.

Responsabilités

• Install solar panel mounting systems and panels on residential rooftops.
• Work confidently on tile and metal roofs and other suitable structures.
• Install rails, brackets, clamps and modules per designs and specs.
• Ensure roof penetrations, flashing and waterproofing meet high standards.

Oolite Electrical Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Solar Roofer / Solar Panel Installer to join our growing team in Sydney. We are expanding our residential solar installation business, with exciting plans to move into larger-scale commercial solar projects as we grow. We are seeking a skilled installer who can confidently undertake rooftop solar installations, maintain high standards of workmanship and contribute to building a successful installation team.

Key responsibilities

Install solar panel mounting systems and solar panels on residential rooftops

Work confidently on tile roofs, metal roofs and other suitable roofing structures

Install mounting rails, brackets, clamps and solar modules in accordance with approved designs and manufacturer specifications

Ensure all roof penetrations, flashing and waterproofing are completed to a high standard

Assess roof conditions and identify potential installation challenges

Read and follow solar installation layouts, drawings and specifications

Work efficiently to complete installations while maintaining excellent workmanship

Follow Australian Standards, workplace health and safety requirements and manufacturer guidelines

Work collaboratively with licensed electricians and other installation team members

Maintain clean, organised and safe worksites

About you

Minimum 2 years of hands‑on rooftop solar installation experience

Proven experience installing residential rooftop solar systems

Experience working on both tile and metal roofs

Strong knowledge of solar mounting systems, roof penetrations and waterproofing

Ability to carry out rooftop installation tasks independently with minimal supervision
