Job summary

Persal & Co Power is seeking an experienced Plant Operator/ Labourer for mining and construction sites around Moranbah, Queensland. You will operate plant and equipment in hot, outdoor conditions, stay in a work camp, and work 10/4 rosters with a day shift.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience, a Hi Risk Licence (Slew crane & Dogging), medical clearance, and a willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing. Travel to remote sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Plant Operating and Labouring experience in a Construction or Mining environment.
• Ability to pass Client worksite Medical Examinations.
• Willingness to undertake drug and alcohol testing to ensure workplace health and safety.
• Ability to travel.

About you - Mandatory Requirements

3+ years Plant Operating and Labouring experience in a Construction or Mining environment

Hi Risk Licence – Slew crane & Dogging

Ability to pass Client worksite Medical Examinations

Physically fit and healthy to perform the work

Willingness to undertake drug and alcohol testing to ensure workplace health and safety

Ability to work alone with minimal supervision

Very organised, neat and tidy at all times

Ability to travel

Preferred experience but not necessary for the right applicant

• Experience in construction and maintenance of HV powerline infrastructure;
• High risk licence - Elevated Work Platform/Rigging/Non-Slew;
• RII Working Safely at Heights;
• Experience in Backhoe/Loader & Excavator Operations

Day shift only, no night shift required

Ordinary Time working week is a 36-hour working week / 72-hour fortnight
