Job summary

Programmed Energy & Resources is seeking experienced Production Operators to join a premier coal mining operation located about an hour west of Mackay. You will operate large mobile mining equipment in a high-performing open-cut mine, on a 7/7 12.5-hour roster with DIDO/BIBO transport and camp accommodation with meals provided.

Key requirements include prior production mining experience, Standard 11, Coal Board Medical, a valid driver’s licence, and a signed SSE skills list or training

• Minimum production mining experience in an open-cut coal mine.
• Current Standard 11 certification or equivalent.
• Current Coal Board Medical or ability to obtain.
• Current driver's licence to operate on-site vehicles.
• SSE signed skills list or training transcript demonstrating equipment competency.
• Strong commitment to safety and site procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate large-scale mobile mining equipment within a busy open-cut coal mine.
• Contribute to efficient coal production while maintaining safety standards.
• Follow site procedures, observe safety rules and respond to supervisor instructions.
• Work as part of a high-performing production team on a 7/7 12.5‑hour roster.

Programmed Energy & Resources are currently seeking experienced Production Operators to join our team at a well-established mine, located approximately one hour west of Mackay.

About the Role

Working within a high-performing production team, you will be responsible for safely operating large-scale mobile mining equipment while contributing to the efficient production of coal in a busy open-cut mining environment.

• Roster: 7/7 rotating roster (Days & Nights)
• Shift Length: 12.5-hour shifts
• Location: Approximately 1 hour west of Mackay
• Transport: DIDO or BIBO from Mackay available
• Accommodation: Camp accommodation and meals provided
• Equipment Experience - We are seeking operators with demonstrated experience operating one or more of the following:

• Haul Trucks (CAT 793/797, Komatsu 830E or equivalent)
• Excavators
• Graders
• Loaders

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Previous production mining experience within an open-cut coal mine
• Current Standard 11
• Current Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain)
• Current Driver's Licence
• SSE signed skills list or training transcript demonstrating competency on relevant equipment
• Strong commitment to safety and following site procedures
• Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced mining environment
