Job summary

Lloyd St Tyre and Auto Service in Moe, VIC is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our service team on a full-time basis. You will diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of vehicles, delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III or IV in Automotive, a valid driver's licence, and proficiency with diagnostic equipment and vehicle systems. You will work in a busy workshop that values safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completed Certificate III or IV in Automotive.
• Current driver27s license (manual and automatic).
• Proven experience working as a Motor Mechanic in a busy service environment.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems and suspension.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and computer-based vehicle systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid tooling and willingness to maintain and upgrade tools as required.
• Knowledge of current vehicle safety.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and manuals.
• Perform routine maintenance services.
• Repair and replace mechanical and electrical components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and cooling systems.
• Conduct inspections and safety checks on vehicles to identify potential issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean, organised and well-maintained.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
