Job summary

Australia Zoo is seeking an Experienced Labourer to join the Civil Works team on a full-time basis. The role supports maintenance of municipal residences and buildings, and assists with construction of new habitats, displays and structures.

You will work in a collaborative team and contribute to conservation goals, with duties including general labouring, site preparation, equipment setup, hand and power tool use, cleaning, and adherence to safety checks.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid White Card (General Construction Induction).
• Hold a current HR drivers licence.
• Previous earthworks experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performing general labouring tasks.
• Assist with site preparation.
• Set up and dismantle equipment.
• Operating hand and power tools.
• General cleaning duties of work sites, sheds and equipment.
• Follow all safety checks and protocols.
• Other duties as requested by Senior Management.

Essential Criteria:
