Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a full-time mobile horticulture professional to maintain high-quality sites across Melbourne. The role involves travelling between locations and joining a supportive team to deliver outstanding outdoor spaces.

You'll work hands-on with turf, gardens, and landscapes, ensuring premium presentation while using a range of tools and equipment. A Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens is required, along with a valid licence and police checks.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens required.
• Valid driver's licence, National Police Check, and Working with Children's Check (or willingness to apply).
• Ability to travel between sites and work outdoors in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of horticultural maintenance staff and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilising.
• Maintain ornamental gardens, hedges, lawns, and feature planting areas to premium presentation standards.
• Operate and maintain horticultural tools, machinery, and irrigation systems safely.
• Assist in seasonal planting, turf renovation, and landscape improvement projects.
• Identify and treat plant pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
• Work with grounds and facilities staff to support school events and operations.

This full-time position is a mobile gardening role, working across multiple sites to maintain high-quality sites across Melbourne. You'll enjoy variety in your day, travelling between locations and working as part of a supportive team to deliver excellent outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading a team of horticultural maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Perform regular horticultural maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilising
• Maintain ornamental gardens, hedges, lawns, and feature planting areas to premium presentation standard
• Operate and maintain horticultural tools, machinery, and irrigation systems safely and effectively
• Assist in seasonal planting, turf renovation, and landscape improvement projects
• Identify and treat plant pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
• Work collaboratively with grounds and facilities staff to support school events and operational needs

About You

• You have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens
• Excellent working knowledge of all of the tools and equipment used in the field, such as hedgers, whipper snippers, blowers, hand tools and some petrol operated equipment.
• You have a drivers licence, National Police Check and Working with Children's Check (or willingness to apply).
