Job summary

Dale and Meyers Operations in Maryborough, QLD is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver for our Dry Mill. You will handle timber packs, move materials across production and storage areas, and support inventory accuracy while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Current High Risk Work Licence (LF) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years forklift experience is essential.
• Experience operating forklifts in industrial, timber, manufacturing or outdoor environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and adhere to protocols.
• Reliable, physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload timber packs from trucks and trailers.
• Transport timber between production, storage and dispatch areas.
• Operate forklift on gravel and uneven surfaces in changing weather.
• Support inventory tracking and stock level checks.
• Report discrepancies to the Dry Mill Manager and assist with inspections.

Dale and Meyers Operations – Maryborough QLD

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver for an immediate start to join our DTM team at our Dry Mill in Maryborough, QLD. As a Forklift Driver, you will play a vital role in our production operations, ensuring the efficient and safe running of our operational processes.

Types of duties include but not limited to:

• Loading and unloading timber packs from trucks and trailers.
• Transporting timber between production, storage, and dispatch areas.
• Working on gravel, uneven surfaces, and in changing weather conditions.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely and accurate material handling.
• Assist in the organisation and maintenance of the timber product inventory. Including tracking of stock levels.
• Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to the Dry Mill Manager.
• Conduct visual inspections of timber products during handling for any defects.
• Support other tasks as needed within the sawmill operations.

Day Shift availability 06.30am - 3.00pm Mon-Thurs - 06.30am - 12.30pm Fri.

Skills Required:

• Current High Risk Work Licence - LF.
• Minimum of 2 Years forklift experience is essential.
• Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in industrial, timber, manufacturing, or outdoor environments.
• Confident driving on uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong awareness of workplace health and safety.
• Reliable, physically fit, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols and reporting of equipment issues.
• Team Player.
