Job summary

SMEC is seeking engineers at all levels to join our Dams & Hydropower team in Melbourne or Hobart. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career while working alongside industry leaders on a diverse range of dams and hydropower projects.

Depending on your experience, you will contribute to technical design, engineering analysis, project delivery, client engagement and multidisciplinary collaboration across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • An interest in dams, hydropower, civil or geotechnical engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, analysis and design of dams and hydropower projects.
  • Prepare engineering assessments, calculations, reports and technical documentation.

You Will Ideally Have

  • Knowledge of dam engineering, dam safety or relevant Australian standards.
  • Experience coordinating project tasks and working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Client-facing, project delivery or mentoring experience.
