Job summary

McCourt Plumbing & Civil in Queensland seeks an Experienced Civil Pipelayer for long-term, full-time work on a busy regional portfolio. You will install sewer, stormwater and water pipelines, and read drawings to set pipework to the correct line, level and grade.

Applicants should have prior civil pipelayer experience, the ability to read plans, a current Construction White Card, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. HR or higher driver's license is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a civil pipelayer.
• Experience installing sewer, stormwater and water infrastructure.
• Ability to read plans and work accurately to levels and grades.
• A current Construction White Card.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a civil construction crew.
• Reliable attitude and hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Installation of sewer, stormwater and water pipelines.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and levels.
• Setting pipework to correct line, level and grade.
• Installation of pits, manholes, valves and infrastructure.
• Trenching, bedding, backfilling and compaction.
• Working safely around excavations, machinery and existing services.
• Assisting with general civil construction duties.
• Completing work per project specs and quality requirements.
