Job summary

Uniting is seeking an qualified Exercise Physiologist to join the HASI Plus Program in the Recovery division. The role is a max-term, part-time position based in Carlingford (Western Sydney) with Thursday and Friday preferred.

You will develop and supervise exercise programs, deliver lifestyle interventions, and monitor progress to support adults with mental health challenges in securing and maintaining housing and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level qualification in Human Movement, Exercise Science, or equivalent.
• Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
• Current Australian Driver’s License.
• At least 2 years’ experience including working with clients with a severe and persistent mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organise, and supervise individual and group exercise programs.
• Facilitate evidence-based exercise and lifestyle interventions to enhance wellbeing and reduce mental health symptoms.
• Monitor progress and adapt programs to suit changing client needs.
