Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC, Geelong, seeks an Executive Officer to support the Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee (RAJAC) and LAJAC in the Barwon South West Region. The role focuses on building strong links between justice agencies and Aboriginal communities and coordinating the Aboriginal Justice Agreement activities.

The position involves providing secretariat services, policy advice, and participation in regional leadership, with possible weekend/public holiday

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal community.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with the Aboriginal community.

Responsibilities

• Provide key support, secretariat services and advice to RAJAC including meeting papers, agenda, venue, catering and minute taking.
• Maintain regular contact with the Chairperson Barwon South West RAJAC to uphold partnership and implementation of AJA.
• Attend and support RAJAC Chairperson's participation in AJA related activities including Aboriginal Justice Forum, Aboriginal Justice Caucus and Collaborative Working Groups.
