Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety Victoria is seeking an Executive Officer to support the Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee (RAJAC) in the Barwon South West Region, Geelong. You will provide secretariat services, policy advice and help implement the Regional Justice Plan while engaging the Aboriginal community.

This role requires building linkages between justice agencies and community organisations, ensuring active participation in the Aboriginal Justice Agreement, and

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal community.
• Ability to communicate sensitively with the Aboriginal community.
• Related qualifications or experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide key support, secretariat services and advice to RAJAC including minutes.
• Maintain regular contact with RAJAC Chairperson to support AJA.
• Attend and support RAJAC/LAJAC activities and forums.
