Job summary

Townsville Hospital and Health Service seeks an Executive Officer to provide high-level confidential executive and secretarial support to the Health Service Chief Executive. You will coordinate priorities, correspondence and executive meetings, and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires discretion, initiative and sound judgement to anticipate needs and manage competing priorities in a regional public health office within Townsville HHS.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a similar role within a government entity is valued.
  • Role involves high-level executive and secretarial support responsibilities.
  • Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period and pre-employment checks may apply.

Competitive salary and benefits:

  • Salary range: $111,993 to $121,853 p.a. (AO5)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity:

As the Executive Officer – Office of the Health Service Chief Executive, you will provide high-levlel confidential executive and secretarial support to the Health Service Chief Executive. You will coordinate administrative priorities, correspondence and executive meetings, facilitate the timely flow of information and decisions, and maintain effetive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires discretion, initiate and sound judgement to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities and support the effective operation of the Office of the Health Service Chief Executive.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration is highly desirable, but not mandatory
  • Experience in a similar role within a government entity will be highly regarded, but not mandatory
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
