CS Executive Group in Queensland seeks a Senior Legal Leader to oversee the organisation's legal function, providing strategic and operational advice across regulatory matters.

Collaborate with executive leadership to strengthen governance, manage legal risk, and ensure compliance with legislative obligations. Lead a team, engage stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in legal services and policy development.

Formación

• Admission to practise as a lawyer in Queensland with a current practising certificate.
• Minimum 10 years post-admission legal experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior advisory position providing complex legal advice.
• At least 3 years in government or similarly regulated environment.
• At least 2 years leading or supervising a legal team or function.
• Experience in regulatory law, enforcement, investigations, litigation, governance or policy.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the legal team, supporting performance and professional development.
• Deliver high-level legal advice to senior executives on complex regulatory and governance matters.
• Oversee litigation, investigations, enforcement, appeals and other legal proceedings.
• Advise on legislative interpretation, statutory obligations and regulatory compliance.
• Manage legal risk and support defensible organisational decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, government representatives and external advisers.
• Contribute to policy development and legislative reform initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for improvement across legal services and stakeholder engagement.
• Support broader organisational planning and executive decision-making.
