Descrizione del lavoro

About the Company

Power and Water Corporation provides essential electricity and water services across the Northern Territory, with a strong commitment to supporting the renewable energy transition. Distributing electricity to over 244,000 people, and providing safe drinking water and wastewater services, PWC plays an essential role in the Territory community.

The Water Services business unit safely delivers essential, high‑quality water and wastewater services to homes and businesses across the Northern Territory. Committed to sustainability and innovation, they manage the precious water lifecycle to secure the Territory's future, support growing communities and protect the unique environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive General Manager Water Services will provide strategic, commercial and operational leadership for the Water Services business unit.

This executive leadership position is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of water and wastewater services while driving long‑term sustainability, operational excellence and customer outcomes. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will contribute to the broader strategic direction of Power and Water Corporation and lead the stewardship of critical water and wastewater assets across the Territory.

You will oversee a significant operational and capital portfolio, ensuring infrastructure investment decisions support service reliability, water security, regulatory compliance and community expectations. Working closely with government, regulators, industry stakeholders, Indigenous communities and customers, you will help shape the future of water services delivery across one of Australia's most diverse and geographically dispersed environments.

The role is based in Darwin and cannot be performed remotely from an interstate location.

About You

You are an accomplished executive leader with substantial experience leading large‑scale operational businesses within the water, utilities, infrastructure, asset management or related sectors.

You bring demonstrated expertise in (some or all of) strategy, planning, asset management and service delivery, together with a strong understanding of the regulatory, environmental, safety and governance frameworks that underpin essential service delivery.

Recognised for your collaborative and authentic leadership style, you have a proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams, build high‑performing leadership groups and foster constructive workplace cultures focused on accountability, innovation and customer outcomes.

Your strategic mindset, sound commercial judgement and ability to navigate complex operating environments will enable you to deliver sustainable outcomes for the organisation and all Territorians.

Why Join Us?

This role presents a rare opportunity to influence and shape the delivery of services across the Territory.

Delivering essential services across one of Australia’s most diverse and expansive landscapes, you will play a critical part in the future of the Territory. Your work will deliver meaningful value to all Territorians, including residents in remote communities.

You will join a talented and highly engaged team that embraces diversity and inclusion. This role offers the chance to make a lasting impact by contributing to legacy systems that support the Territory’s future.
