Job summary

Advanced Joinery Solutions Ltd is seeking a capable General Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations across production, estimating and administration, with the autonomy to keep jobs moving and to make decisive decisions. You’ll lead the team, coordinate subcontract installers and suppliers, manage costs and margins, and ensure drawings, approvals and materials are organised from drawings to installation.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial cabinetry, joinery, shopfitting or similar trade-based business is highly regarded.
• Organised, practical and commercially minded with leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Keep projects on track from drawings through to installation
• Make sure drawings, approvals and materials are organised on time
• Manage production and installation schedules
• Set priorities and goals for estimating, production and the factory
• Coordinate subcontract installers
• Lead, manage and recruit staff
• Handle day-to-day calls and emails
• Deal with builders, site managers and suppliers
• Negotiate supplier pricing
• Manage defects and call-backs
• Monitor costs and project margins
• Solve problems and get things done
