Qualifications

  • Experience in power, water, or utilities sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to develop asset management capabilities, including investment planning and data management.
  • Facilitate internal and external workshops, draft reports and insights, and prepare presentations with senior support.
  • Support business development by building relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Apply strong project management practices to deliver multi-disciplinary programs.
  • Develop and execute effective communication strategies tailored to client needs.

Job Description

We are a leading consultancy supporting asset‑intensive organisations across Australia and New Zealand. Our teams partner with clients to strengthen their asset management capabilities, improve investment decisions, and deliver better long‑term outcomes. With a growing pipeline of work across the water sector, we are looking for talented executive consultants to join our team part-time on a casual basis in Sydney. This role is ideally suited to highly experienced individuals with extensive careers, who are now looking to step down from full time accountabilities, and instead offer their expertise to asset intensive organisations across ANZ in a casual advisory consulting capacity.

In this role, you will support clients in enhancing their asset management performance, with opportunities to work across the power, water, and wider utilities sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Consulting with clients to develop asset management capabilities in areas such as asset investment planning, asset management maturity, and asset data and information.
  • Contributing to project delivery, including facilitating internal and external workshops, drafting reports and insights, and preparing presentations with support from senior team members.
  • Supporting business development activities by building relationships, contributing to key pursuits, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Applying strong project management practices to support the successful delivery of multi‑disciplinary programs.
  • Developing and executing effective communication strategies tailored to client needs.
Qualifications

Required

  • Understanding of project management principles, with experience delivering work to agreed time, cost, and quality expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high‑quality service to internal or external stakeholders, with strong communication and rapport‑building skills.
  • Degree‑level qualification preferred (engineering, business, economics, or a related field).
  • Experience in asset management (industry or consulting), with relevant exposure to water/utilities, power, or asset data and information.
  • Knowledge of asset‑intensive sectors such as power, water, rail, government, or facilities.
  • Motivation to build an industry network and actively participate in professional communities.
