Job description

Being in a business support role at Australia Post means helping our people deliver for every Australian. Just like our Posties, you're still the people behind every parcel. Whatever your team or role, you're helping grow our people, grow our business and making a lasting impact on the Australian community. You'll find a culture of connection in our great people and the flexibility to balance work with life outside of it.

About the opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support our Executive General Manager, Network Operations.

This is a fast-paced and highly visible role in one of Australia’s largest operational networks, where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with the Network Operations Leadership Team, Executive Assistants and senior leaders across the organisation to ensure priorities stay on track. You'll be someone who thrives on being one step ahead, anticipating needs, solving problems and bringing order to a dynamic environment.

You'll also
  • Manage complex diary management, travel coordination, meeting scheduling and leadership team rhythms.
  • Build strong relationships across senior leadership teams and act as a key point of coordination between stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communications, correspondence, confidential information and leadership forums on behalf of the EGM.
  • Support governance and business administration activities including action tracking, procurement, invoicing, office management and team support.
About you

You're an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-moving environment and genuinely enjoys helping leaders and teams succeed. Highly organised and proactive, you're comfortable managing competing priorities, adapting to changing circumstances and operating with discretion. You build trusted relationships quickly, communicate with confidence and bring a positive, can-do attitude to everything you do.

You're a self-starter who is comfortable working independently, enjoys solving problems and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done. Most importantly, you're professional, resilient and able to stay one step ahead while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

You'll also
  • Have extensive experience supporting senior executives, ideally at Executive General Manager, Executive or C-suite level within a large and complex organisation.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Have advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using business systems
What else is in it for you?
  • Bring your whole self to work every day and be met by a welcoming bunch of people who respect and support you.
  • Opportunities for growth and development through formal programs or mentorship.
  • Exclusive team member discounts and offers for more cash in your pocket, evolving policies for flexible working, leave types and access to health and wellbeing resources.
All walks, one route

It takes a lot of us to deliver for every Australian – and it's important to us that our people behind the parcels reflect the people receiving them. We come from all walks. Different backgrounds, different ages, different genders, different sexualities and different abilities, but we all believe in the same purpose.

We welcome people of all ages, genders and backgrounds – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ communities, and refugees. We're a Disability Confident Recruiter, committed to making our hiring process and workplace inclusive and barrier-free. We're also working hard to remove bias and build a gender-equitable experience for everyone who joins us. If you've got questions about accessibility, reach out to our Diversity & Inclusion team at inclusivecareers@auspost.com.au or on 03 8737 9415.

One last thing

Research shows that women and people from underrepresented backgrounds are less likely to apply for roles unless they meet every requirement. If you're excited about this opportunity but don't meet every single criterion, we'd still love to hear from you. If you're passionate about supporting leaders, building strong relationships and helping Australia Post deliver for Australia, we encourage you to apply.
