Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Senior Policy Officer to drive evidence-based policy outcomes from Sydney. You will join the Road Safety, Licensing & Vehicle Standards team to deliver research, analyses and policy advice that aligns with government priorities.

The role requires consultative, results-focused work with diverse stakeholders and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic public sector environment. Based at the Sydney office with ongoing collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience analysing and shaping public policy.
• Ability to engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience preparing policy advice and briefing notes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of NSW Government policy initiatives.
• Undertake research, analysis and monitoring of emerging issues and trends.
• Prepare high-quality policy advice, briefing notes and submissions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop evidence-based policy solutions.
• Work with the Road Safety, Licensing & Vehicle Standards team in Sydney.
