Job summary

St Vincent’s Health Australia’s Curran Foundation unit in Sydney is seeking an Events Manager to lead events end-to-end, from planning and RSVPs to logistics and post-event follow-up.

Bring 5+ years’ experience delivering small to medium events, strong budgeting, procurement and supplier negotiation skills, and a professional, can-do approach.

You will collaborate with donors, VIPs, internal teams and external partners, using Microsoft 365, Planner and Blackbaud NXT to ensure excellence.

About the role

Lead events end-to-end, from planning and administration through to RSVPs, logistics, venue operations, production, event delivery, pack-down and post-event follow-up. Bring creativity, professionalism and attention to detail to deliver engaging, high-quality events for donors, supporters, leaders, VIPs and key stakeholders. Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal teams, event owners, suppliers, venues, contractors and Marketing to ensure every event is seamless and well coordinated. Take ownership of budgets, procurement and supplier negotiations, identifying opportunities to maximise value and leverage sponsorship or in-kind partnerships. Use your initiative, sound judgement and strong communication skills to identify opportunities to strengthen stakeholder relationships and continuously improve the way events are delivered.

About you

Experienced event professional with 5+ years’ experience planning, coordinating and delivering small to medium events from concept through to completion, with a consistent focus on quality and exceptional outcomes. Hands-on and highly organised, with strong experience across event logistics, venue operations, staging, production, setup, pack-down and delivery. A confident multitasker who can manage competing priorities, coordinate staff, volunteers, contractors and suppliers, and keep events moving in a fast-paced environment. A strong communicator and relationship builder, with the confidence to work with executives, major donors, sponsors, VIPs, government stakeholders, suppliers and internal teams. Commercially minded and proactive, with experience managing budgets, procurement and supplier negotiations, strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365, Planner and CRM/event management systems such as Blackbaud NXT.
