Job summary

The City of Perth is seeking an experienced Event Operations Officer to shape the future event operations and programming for Elizabeth Quay and Barrack Square. This newly created role supports the transition ahead of the precinct coming under City management in July 2027.

You will coordinate events and activations, manage precinct operations, engage stakeholders and oversee compliance and performance to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes for visitors year-round.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating events, activations or precinct operations.
• Strong knowledge of event operations, WHS, risk management and public safety.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills; and
• Proven ability to manage projects, budgets and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Events & Activations | Coordinate events and activations from planning through to delivery;
• Manage Precinct Operations | Ensure the precinct is safe, accessible and event-ready;
• Engage Stakeholders | Build strong relationships with organisers, tenants and partners; and
• Oversee Compliance & Performance | Manage risks, budgets, reporting and continuous improvement.
