Job summary

The Fresh Collective in Sydney seeks an experienced Event Manager to own delivery of events across iconic venues and offsite settings. You will partner with venue teams, chefs and suppliers to ensure flawless execution and stellar client experiences.

You will manage end-to-end client journeys from post-sales to follow-up, coordinating logistics, budgets and post-event feedback to drive repeat business and revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Event Management, Hospitality or Catering.
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisation with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple events simultaneously across venues and offsite events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, venue partners and suppliers.
  • Prepare event orders, production schedules, floorplans, equipment orders and invoices.
  • Coordinate all event logistics including staffing, equipment hire and supplier bookings.
  • Monitor event budgets, margins and identify opportunities to maximise revenue.
  • Post-event follow-up to gather feedback and encourage repeat business.

The Fresh Collective is renowned for delivering premium hospitality experiences across Australia's most celebrated cultural institutions, including the Art Gallery of NSW, Melbourne Museum, Queensland Museum, Sydney Theatre Company, Government House, and more.

We're seeking a seasoned and commercially minded Event Manager to join our Events team. Reporting to the Director of Events, you'll oversee the planning and delivery of exceptional events across our diverse portfolio of venues and offsite events.

From intimate private dinners to major outdoor events, corporate functions, elegant weddings and premium catered experiences, you'll manage every stage of the client journey of event planning while ensuring flawless execution and outstanding customer satisfaction.

About the Role

As Event Manager, you'll take ownership of events after sales conversionthrough to post-event follow-up while working closely with venue teams, chefs, suppliers and clients to deliver seamless experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage multiple events simultaneously across venues and offsite events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, venue partners and suppliers
  • Prepare event orders, production schedules, floorplans, equipment orders and invoices
  • Conduct client meetings and site inspections to understand event requirements
  • Coordinate all event logistics including staffing, equipment hire and supplier bookings
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure successful event execution
  • Monitor event budgets, margins and identify opportunities to maximise revenue
  • Maintain accurate event records, tasks and client information within Elite/Momentus
  • Conduct post-event follow-up to gather feedback and encourage repeat business
  • Attend networking events and contribute to generating future business opportunities

About You

You'll be an organised hospitality professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in Event Management, Hospitality or Catering
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent organisation with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong administrative capability
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing quotes, budgets or event profitability
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent time management
  • Confidence working with event management systems such as Elite, Momentus or similar (highly regarded)
  • A passion for premium hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
