Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood is seeking a driven Conference & Event Sales Manager to launch and sell the Grand Regent Ballroom, a new events space for up to 230 guests with modern AV and integrated lighting.

You’ll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to contracts, lead tastings and site inspections, build a Sydney-wide network across corporate, government and social markets, and partner with operations to deliver memorable, revenue‑driven events in Burwood’s premier venue.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' conference and events sales experience in a hotel or premium venue.
• A track record of hitting targets and winning new business.
• A strong Sydney network across corporate and/or social events.
• Polished presentation, negotiation and written communication.
• Experience with sales & catering / CRM systems (e.g. Delphi, Opera, Salesforce).
• Pre-opening experience.

• Lead the launch of the Grand Regent Ballroom: packages, showcases and partnerships
• Convert enquiries quickly with compelling proposals and site inspections
• Grow revenue per event through F&B, AV and accommodation upsell

Be the one to launch the Grand Regent Ballroom.

Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood is unveiling the Grand Regent Ballroom (GRB): a light-filled event space for up to 230 guests, with modern AV and integrated lighting, built for everything from corporate conferences and gala dinners to weddings, engagements and milestone celebrations. We're looking for a driven Conference & Event Sales Manager to take it to market and make it the inner west's venue of choice.

Owned by Conquest Group and part of IHG's Crowne Plaza brand, our hotel sits in the heart of Burwood, around 10 km from the Sydney CBD and a short walk from Burwood Station. Alongside the ballroom, guests enjoy SKYE rooftop bar and lounge, Onyx Grill, Artisaint café and patisserie, and flexible meeting spaces.

The role

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing , you'll own the full sales cycle for conferences, meetings and events across the ballroom and our event spaces, from prospecting and site inspections through to proposals, contracts and a seamless handover to our operations team.
