Job summary

Wayne Central School District seeks a dependable Cleaner for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) at Middle School. Two positions available; probationary appointment for 12 months.

Duties include dusting, polishing tables and desks, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming; collecting and disposing of refuse; and assisting in cleanup of the school, grounds and parking lots. Must present a neat appearance, be punctual and able to get along with staff; a valid driver’s license is required; lifting up to 100+

Qualifications

• Neat clean appearance.
• Punctual.
• Ability to get along with professional and supportive staff.
• Possess appropriate driver's license.
• Regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally more than 100 lbs.
• Walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Responsibilities

• Dust, polish tables and desks; sweep, mop, vacuum.
• Gather and dispose of refuse; assist in general clean up of school, grounds and parking lots.
