Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards across the school site. The role is a Permanent Part-Time (0.28FTE), 21.5 hours per fortnight, with shifts across 5 days per week outside school hours.

Morning or afternoon shifts available, 2.25 hours on three days and 2 hours on two days. The successful candidate will work independently, contribute to a positive school environment and support health, safety and security procedures as

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise classrooms, offices, toilets, sick bays and common areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop and maintain vinyl, timber and hard-floor surfaces.
• Clean windows, doors, furniture, fixtures, equipment and other surfaces.
• Manage rubbish, litter, cobwebs, mildew and graffiti.
• Maintain and safely operate cleaning equipment.
• Ensure cleaning tasks meet school standards.
• Monitor and report safety, security, damage and maintenance concerns.
• Activate and disarm security systems and lock/unlock buildings as required.
• Liaise with Principal or Business Manager regarding cleaning supplies and equipment.
