Job summary

Polestar is seeking an Automotive Technician for its state‑of‑the‑art workshop in Artarmon, Sydney. You will work on cutting‑edge EV technology, delivering high standards and ensuring every vehicle is prepared to perfection.

Key duties include pre‑delivery inspections, diagnostics with software, routine checks, and collaborative repairs with the Technical Operations Team. EV experience is valued, with training and career development provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or equivalent qualification as an Automotive Technician.
• Experience in a dealership, OEM, or reputable service environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working with electric vehicles (EVs) highly regarded.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Right to work in Australia (Australian citizen or Permanent Resident preferred).
• Experience with the latest automotive technology and tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre‑delivery inspections to ensure each vehicle meets manufacturer standards before delivery.
• Use diagnostic software to verify vehicle functionality and identify issues.
• Complete routine checks, calibrations, and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues for both new and pre‑owned vehicles.
• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the Technical Operations Team on diagnosis and repairs.
• Follow all safety protocols and uphold company standards.
• Participate in ongoing training to keep pace with the latest automotive technology advances.
