Job summary

JT Glass is seeking a motivated Estimator to join our Sydney team to prepare cost estimates and BOQs for aluminium window and door projects, based on drawings and specifications, while supporting tender submissions and coordinating with the sales and project teams.

The ideal candidate will read architectural drawings, have strong Excel skills, and experience in windows/ façade construction; Alspec system familiarity is a plus. A valid AU driver’s licence preferred and Australian residency.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating within the windows, doors, façade, or construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Familiarity with Alspec aluminium window systems and glazing configurations is highly regarded.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with estimating or pricing software is an advantage.
• Good English communication skills; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for aluminium window and door projects based on architectural drawings and technical specifications.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed cost analyses.
• Assist with tender submissions, pricing schedules, and quotation documentation.
• Liaise with sales staff, project managers, and suppliers to clarify technical and pricing details.
• Maintain and analyse project and client information through online project and tender platforms.
• Support continuous improvement of estimating accuracy and internal pricing systems.
