Job summary

Prebuilt is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our commercial team at a 9,000m² Kilsyth facility. You will develop accurate cost estimates for a diverse pipeline of modular construction projects across Victoria and NSW, collaborating with design, projects, construction and leadership teams.

You will review drawings, prepare detailed cost plans and work with suppliers and subcontractors to deliver competitive tenders while maintaining historical cost data for future reuse.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience within commercial construction or related sector.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret drawings, specifications and tender docs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Quantify take-offs and develop project cost plans.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Collaborate with Bid Manager on tender submissions.
• Work with designers, project managers and engineers to validate scope and pricing.
• Identify risks, exclusions and cost impacts.
• Attend site inspections and tender briefings as required.
• Present estimates, budgets and recommendations to management.
• Support tender clarifications and contract negotiations.
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating information.
• Assist project teams with cost-related queries and handover after tenders.
